Ajay and Neeti tackle a new adventure in ‘Underground Secret’. Not to be left behind, Billy sets out to rescue his mother but ends up in a trap! Read all about it in ‘New Dangers’. Meanwhile, how do the animals of Big Baan fare in a football match? Find out in the concluding part of Kalia the Crow’s ‘Let’s Play a Game’. Talking about animals, Shikari Shambu has a tough time confronting ‘Feline Problems’. And if that’s not enough we also have two delightful tales in ‘The Prankster’ and ‘Age No Bar’. Enjoy!

    The flavour of Independence Day rules our fun cover, designed specially by Savio Mascarenhas. It also inspired us to come out with a delightful article, the ‘Indian Masketeers’, exploring Indian culture through its various masks. We also have ‘Dotty and the Albino Dragon’, the First Prize winning story in the Tinkle Original Story Competition. Moving on, we have three popular characters this issue, Shikari Shambu, Kalia the Crow and the Defective Detectives. Shambu goes on a rollicking ‘Jumbo Adventure in Assam’ while the Defective Detectives have a spine-chilling experience in ‘The Horror’. As for Kalia, can you imagine him, Chamataka and Doob Doob playing together? If you can’t, you should check out ‘Let’s Play a Game’. Next, enjoy a fun story by a reader, ‘Show Business’ in our Fan Fiction segment along with ‘Pranav’s Dadi and the Karate Kid’, where Dadi tries her hand at karate!     July is all about the fun and excitement of going back to school. So, we begin with a zany Butterfingers story ‘School Escort’. What happens when Butter is made responsible for getting a tiny tot to school? Disaster? You bet! Following soon after, is our Tinkle Original Story Competition second prize winner, ‘Mission LKG Admission’, a light-hearted look at the maddening process of school admissions. And then we take you ‘On a Little Spin’ all because Little Shambu and Little Suppandi make a wish to skip their school years. Can you imagine a dinosaur let loose in your school? You would, if you had read ‘Brain+Brawn’. We are not done yet for the school mania has gotten into our feature pages as well. If you love puns you should love ‘Pun’ishment Time and if you have ever wished for gadgets to make school life easy, you should be thrilled with ‘Here Comes School’. Our Pick Your Brains section too has grandparents at its core. What’s more, the issue is crowded with Tinkle Toons. The Defective Detectives let their imaginations lose in Kidnapped while Suppandi gets up to his usual tricks in Sign Language.     We welcome June with an Environment Day special story ‘That’s My Friend’, a charming tale about friendship. And then it’s time for drum rolls, for we have the third prize winning story from the Tinkle Original Story Contest—Saran’s Baby Sister. Read on to find out how Saran bonds with his new baby sister who’s been taking all attention away from him. In Test of Taste Buds, we have grandpa Murthy discovering the hidden chef inside him and deciding to go up against the Ladies Club members in a cooking contest. Pyarelal comes back to us in yet another delightful tale ‘Home Garden’, closely followed by Snowy, a story about a girl who simply hates her name!
